What K-drama is this? How to find a drama's name from a YouTube Short
Published 15 October 2026.
Short answer: drama Shorts are full of "drama name?" comments, and the answer is usually in the replies. Open them yourself, or paste the link into CommentSift and it reads the comments and replies for you.
Why drama Shorts rarely say the name
Drama edit channels post a single scene with music and a caption, and the title often just says "She finally found out" or uses hashtags. The drama's name is often in the hashtags, the description or the replies. Korean, Chinese, Thai and Japanese dramas also have more than one English name, so two people in the comments may give you two different names for the same show.
How to look by hand
- Open the comments and sort by Top comments.
- Look for "drama name?", "what's the title?" or "name of this kdrama?". Tap replies under them.
- Check the hashtags and the description. A hashtag like #kdrama tells you the country; the one next to it is often the drama's name.
- Still nothing? Screenshot a clear frame of the lead actor and search it with Google Lens, then look through their dramas.
- Found a name? Check it on Wikipedia to make sure the cast matches.
How to do it with CommentSift
- In the YouTube app, tap Share under the video (on Shorts it's the arrow on the right).
- Tap Copy link.
- Open CommentSift and tap Paste. It starts looking right away. If the Paste button doesn't work on your phone, paste the link into the box yourself and tap Find the name.
CommentSift reads the comments, the replies under them and the description, including hashtags. When it finds a name, it shows where it came from and checks it against Wikipedia. If nobody has named it yet, it says so instead of guessing, and you can add the video to your check-back list.
CommentSift reads comments on YouTube links, from the app or a browser. TikTok and Instagram don't let apps read comments, so there you copy and paste them in: here is how to find a show's name from a TikTok.
K-drama, C-drama or something else?
You don't need to know. CommentSift looks for Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Thai dramas the same way, and also for anime, manhwa and movies.
