What’s this show called?

Paste a YouTube Short or clip to get the name of the anime, manhwa or show in it. We read the comments and replies so you don’t have to.

Works on Shorts, clips and edits of manhwa, manhua, manga, webtoons, anime, movies and TV shows.

No sign-up. We read only what’s public on the video, keep answers for 30 days at most (not linked to you), and don’t save comments you paste. Privacy Policy

On TikTok, Instagram or another app? Paste the comments

TikTok and Instagram don’t let apps read comments. Open the comments, select and copy them (or just the “name?” ones and their replies), and paste them here. For TikTok, also put the video link in the box above.

Why the comments know the name

A clip or Short often leaves the name out of its title. But someone in the comments usually asks “what’s this called?”, and someone who knows answers. CommentSift reads those questions and replies for you.

Made-up examples of what people write:

“Confident” means more than one thing agrees: several commenters, the uploader, or a title database such as AniList or Wikipedia. “Likely” means it’s probably right, but worth a quick check.

When people give different names, the one with the most support comes first. The rest are listed under “Other names people mentioned”, with how many people said each.

When nobody has named it yet, we say so instead of guessing. A YouTube video then goes on your check-back list, which is kept only on this device, and we look again on your later visits.
